100 EKSU Students Sponsored for Tekedia CollegeBoost Programme

Overview

As a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping underprivilege children and young adults in Nigeria, Africa, and the world at large, the Prince Fadipe Foundation (PFF) has sponsored 100 students for a Tekedia CollegeBoost programme, an innovative scheme by Tekedia Institute located in Boston, USA. This partnership provides education for young adults with a passion for business and entrepreneurship, encouraging them to pursue careers in the creative industries or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

Additionally, the scholarship is established to provide the students with a better understanding of the mechanics of business, majorly focusing on science and engineering students at the Ekiti State University (EKSU). The program seeks to give science and engineering student an early introduction into the dynamics of business start-ups and sustainability in Nigerian climate.

The Prince Fadipe Foundation founder, Dr. Oluwaseun Fadipe, a professionally inclined business leader, and philanthropist, dedicated to improving the lives of the impoverished and giving hands to the willing minds. As stated in one of his recent interview session, Dr. FADIPE reiterated the foundation’s desire to not just stop at educating the young adults but also provide them with the necessary skill sets to ensure that they have a competitive advantage in the job market.

The Tekedia CollegeBoost for PFF Scholars

Tekedia CollegeBoost is an Advanced Diploma in Business Administration designed for students in colleges (universities, polytechnics, etc.). Tekedia Institute developed the Tekedia College Boost program as part of its commitment to building a strong ecosystem for emerging entrepreneurs. The Prince Fadipe Foundation scholarship partnered with the Tekedia College Boost to offer career mentorship and business empowerment to those that were selected for the program. One of its objectives is aimed at equipping young adults with keen interest in acquisition of business skills to become successful entrepreneurs in their respective fields.

Sequel to the ongoing ASUU strike in Nigeria, the Foundation’s Board of Trustees under the leadership of Dr. Oluwaseun Fadipe decided to leverage on the temporary glitch in the education system through the PFF-TEKEDIA partnership to bridge the gap by engaging the selected students in a Mini-MBA program with Tekedia institute, Boston, USA. This programme runs for 8-weeks with a thorough and well-structured online class engagement.

The topic of sponsorship has always been a sensitive one, with much debate around the positive and negative impacts on communities. This fact is why the Prince Fadipe Foundation seeks to partner with institutions that maintain high standards for any sponsorship. The Prince Fadipe Foundation believes that this partnership with Tekedia Institute will improve education and create job opportunities for graduates who are qualified. As a result, it will also allow young people to continue learning while the Nigerian university system is on strike.

Note: More announcement and opportunities will periodically made available for young adults to benefit from. For up-to-date related information, kindly follow the foundation on all social media handles below:
